Here are a few recent pictures of the boys!! First of all, Does Caleb have something against his bed? When he naps, which is NOT often, he always finds other places to sleep rather than his bed. I could not resist posting it since the last post I did was when ne decided to sleep on the stairs. I know most of you think we never go outside, all the pictures I have are inside because I never remember to take my camera anywhere! When I look at all my other friends blogs I see all these great action pictures taken outdoors while their kids enjoy the summer days. Well, no we don't go out to play much because my kids keep getting eaten alive by the awful amount of mosquitos outside. They are terrible this year! One of the other pictures above I just could not resist Parker just looked too adorable in those PJ's. And then yesterday the boys were having so much fun dancing to songs on the IPOD and they would walk around dancing and holding hands it was such a sweet moment. Parker is beginning to do and try and say everything Caleb does! It is so fun to watch them although sometimes it gets a little out of hand and Caleb is doing things that I would rather Parker no learn. They get super silly at the dinner table. Banging their cups and finding it rather hilarious when one burps. Yes, it may be cute now but it won't be in a few years! It is so fun having two boys and watching them together. They have their not so nice moments but Parker is learning to hold his own. Everything else is going great here! Just had the whole inside of the house painted and it looks amazing! WOW what a little paint can do to make a place feel so cozy! Eric is doing great, staying busy at work and being such a huge help to me when he is home! I don't know how he does it sometimes, he gets up and goes to work at 5:30 and then manages to come home and fall right into the role of daddy and husband, playing, grilling, cleaning, etc. He is so great about letting me have girl time or me time when I need it!! I am so BLESSED! Thanks Babe!!

My Tired Boy

Okay so I know you will be suprised to see another post this quick but I could not resist. I had to share my day with you all! So it was nap time and I put both boys down and as usual Caleb really fights nap time. He is trying really hard to drop the nap but I am trying to keep him at least giving me an hour of quiet time. So today was the usual and he was up there playing in his room for a while and then he got quiet and I thought "YES, today is my lucky day I am going to get a nap out of him" so I was taking care of some things and I realized it was after 3:00 and if I wanted him to go to bed at a decent time tonight then I better go wake him up so I thought I would go up and wake him and we could lay together and read some books. Well . . . off I went as much as I wanted to sit and enjoy the quiet in the house I went upstairs with a new book and I turned and saw him laying on the stairs that go up to the third level. At first I thought he must be faking it but then I saw the drool coming out of his mouth and realized he was out. About that time the phone rang, which I had it in my hand and I talked to Eric all the while he never even moved, he was out!! It was a photo moment for sure! I could not believe he actually took a nap on the stairs. The bad part of it all was about 20 mins. before I went up there I heard a thud on the floor and I called up there and I figured he just did not want me to know he was still awake, I am not sure what the thud was but I am hoping it was not my child falling from his sound sleep onto the floor then getting up and resumming position on the stairs! Thank the Lord he was only on the second step. :)

Parker's Big Day And Caleb's Swim Lessons

Well, it has been a crazy week or so since my last blog. As I stated before Caleb began swim lessons. He has really done an amazing job I am going to include a picture from the first lesson, it broke my heart but it was quite hilarious. So we get there, and Caleb is all excited about what he is about to learn, keep in mind, a three year old really has no clue, all he knows is I have been talking about it for weeks and telling him how much fun it is going to be. He is one of four in the lesson and the other three all took lessons last year and did not forget for a minute what they were in for. So the teacher gets there and has them all sit on the top step, well the other three are all screaming bloody murder and trying to attach themselves to their mother's leg. All the while Caleb does as he is told and takes a seat (wondering what in the heck is wrong with the others). Well, that lastest all of about two minutes then a light bulb must have gone off for Caleb and he realized the torture he was about to go through. So at that point we have four little three year olds screaming at the top of their lungs and trying to figure out how they are going to escape. I have to say . . . I was so impressed with the teacher, she never once lost her temper, never raised her voice, it was amazing. So the lesson lasted for 30 min and can I just say . . . that was the longest 30 min. of my life. Caleb cried the whole time, when we got home he had raw spots on both rists from holding onto the pool for so long and crying so hard, it was sad but he walked away from that lesson with a new ability in the water. We have now had three total lessons and he can swim to the bottom (by the stairs) and get an egg which I was blown away by! He still cries some at the lessons but he is doing great. The funny thing is, he will do all these impressive things for his teacher and then when we take him to the pool he won't move from the steps. I guess it will take some time. We are starting Parker in private lessons in a couple of weeks. He has no fear at the pool so we thought that was the best things for him.
On to Parker, well today he followed after his big brother and had to have tubes put in his ears and his adnoids removed. He did an amazing job and was so brave. Dr. Shirley did the surgery and said the amount of stuff in his ears was unbelievable. He said that he could not even use the normal thing to suck the stuff out it was so bad, he said it was amazing that he heard anything. It will be so interesting to see how his speech changes in the next few weeks. He amazed me when he woke up from being put under because he was so calm and just wanted to cuddle. I was so proud of him. He has had a pretty good day, he got a little too excited to eat after we got back from the hospital around 12. He had not eaten since last night so he had applesauce and vanilla pudding because they said to give easy things to eat, well 20 minutes later we got all of it back. It was awful, I felt so bad for the little guy! Other than that he has done very well today, he has had his cranky moments but I can't blame him, we had him up at 5 this morning and then look at what he went through!
Well, everything else is going great around here!! Thanks to all of you who were praying for Parker today, it really means a lot! We love you all!!
