Well we are back from our amazing trip!! WOW it is funny to me . . . you can't wait to go on your trip and while you are home you talk so much about how much you need to get away, then you go on the trip and spend the whole time missing your kids like crazy, then you come home and wish you could just go back!! We are never happy :)!!!! That said, we had such a great time on our vacation. Although we really missed the kids, it was so good for Eric and I to get away and spend some time with some of our amazing friends. We are so blessed with so many amazing friends in our lives and it was great to have that week full of fun, relaxation, adult conversation, silence, hot coffee, hot meals, etc. But a week with all of those amazing things also made me come home and realize all the sweet little things about my kids. I enjoy giving to them all day everyday even if it means my coffee in the morning is not that hot or I never get to finish a sentence I start with an adult! My kids are just precious to me and I am so thankful for them! I guess I said all that to say getting away every now and then, as hard as it is to leave those precious faces, it is so good for Eric and I and it helps me to be a better mom. My mom did an amazing job with the boys and really loved their time with her. It is so nice having a mom that sticks to your schedule while you are away!!! They were not too spoiled when we got back!
Caleb starts swim lessons on Monday which should be interesting! We took him to the pool last weekend and he did not want to leave the steps because it was so cold. He was just happy sitting on the steps playing with a truck! Parker on the other hand was loving every minute of it. He had so much fun! I have a feeling Caleb may cry the whole time at lesson number 1!!!
Well, it looks like we are doing it again! We are going in on June 10th for Parker to have tubes put in his ears and have his adnoids removed. Of course I am dreading it but I know Caleb has been well ever since and I want the same for Parker.
Parker is getting so big and trying so hard to communicate with us. He is saying several words now and seems to understand everything we tell him. He and Caleb are having so much fun together!! They really enjoy having each other to play with! I love that! It is so precious to me!
It is crazy to think summer is here! We are staying busy with playdates and swim lessons are starting and of course several trips back and forth to Dalton, GA as we get ready for Parker's surgery.
Well, that is it for now, Everyone have a great weekend! I will post next week!
