GAS ANYONE???????

Most of you are aware of the gas issue in Atlanta right now!! It has been going on for weeks and I have yet to understand the issue! Today I happened to have my camera in my car on my way to pick up Caleb (taking and picking up Caleb from school is about all the driving I am doing in my suburban that drinks gas, since it is hard to find) so I thought I would take a picture for those of you to see that are not having to deal with this issue! This was the beginning of the line, the line continued about 30 cars or more backing up onto the highway! It is amazing how long people have to sit just to put gas in their cars. I don't know about you but that is not what I enjoy doing with a 1 year old and 3 year old in the car. Those of you out there not suffering from this gas shortage, driving right up to the tank and filling up is something I shall never take for granted again!! :)

Here comes trouble

The Pledge

Well, we have completed another week of school and Caleb is doing awesome. I was blown away last week when he was able to say the entire pledge to the flag after only being in school a total of six days. I was amazed, here my 3 year old stood in front of me saying the pledge with his hand over his heart, talk about a moment!! I could not hold him tight enough nor could I find a way to truly express to him how proud I was of him and that is not all it gets better. After that he was able to quote his entire Bible verse " I am fearfully and Wonderfully Made" Psalm 139 Verse 14. Let's talk about a proud mommy!!! There is nothing that gets your heart more than your little one quoting verses from the Bible and not only the verse but to be able to tell me where to find it WOW!! I know my child is not the only one to be able to do that and it is not his first verse to learn but to learn all that in six days (being there from 9-1) I realized how glad I am that he is involved in such a great program. He is really growing up and just continues to make me so proud with the way he is with Parker. The love between the two of them is just amazing!
Parker is doing great!! Such a sweet boy! He and I are having fun together on the days Caleb is in school whether it be playing at home, going for walks, playing with friends (his age) or running errands we are enjoying being together. He still can't get to the room fast enough to pick up Caleb at 1:00 though! He is starting to talk more which I love! He is such a big boy now! He has the sweetest heart and if he sees anyone sad, he just goes up and gives the sweetest love to them. He has so much fun playing with all our little friends so far he is really handling the sharing thing very well! I guess that is that second baby thing! We are truly more blessed than I could ever have imagined! Blessed to have such an amazing God of Grace, love, and forgiveness, blessed with an amazing Family, and blessed with so many amazing priceless friendships! I don't want to ever take these things for granted!

NEW MOVIE

Ok, so I don't know how many of your saw the movie "Facing the Giants" but it was incredible! The same people who did that movie have a new movie coming out on Sept. 26th called "Fireproof" I encourage all of you to go out and support this movie. check out their website http://www.fireproofthemovie.com/
It is done by a church in Albany Georgia, most of the actors are volunteers from the church Kirk Cameron is the leading role which he did with no pay! It seems like from watching the trailer any of us married, engaged or hoping to one day be married could take something from this movie.
I loved the movie "Facing the Giants" and can't wait to see this one! A great date night with my husband. I always go to the movies with girlfriends but this one will be one for the two of us together!
Hope all of you are doing well! I will post some pictures soon! I just found this online tonight and wanted to share! Tell others, how cool would it be to have this movie in the top 5!!

The Week At our House

As you know from my past blog, last week was Caleb's first week at school well on Thursday he had his first show and tell!! I think I was just as excited as he was!! I remember those days from way back when and it was always an exciting day!! So those of you that know him well can guess what he took . . . a crocodile!! He wore his new croc shirt and took his new croc.
I love dressing them alike! I am sure one day they will hate me for it but they are just so darn cute! Take note of the crocodile PJ's, Parker is as into them as Caleb!

"Watch out, you may be older but I can take you down"

Parker was on a mission, he was going to take Caleb out if he had too!! Caleb did not seem to mind, he thought it was funny!
No, you are not crazy, it is not Halloween yet!! My neighbor was cleaning out her kids stuff and was going to take this to goodwill! Well, she wanted to know if I wanted it for the kids and I told her I would take it and give it to Caleb's friend Blake because he loves Thomas the Train like my kids like Crocodiles well, Caleb wore it for three hours tonight, eating dinner in it and now it is sleeping next to him in bed. I am not sure if it will make it to Blake or not. Caleb told me "Mommy, I will be Thomas for Halloween instead of Hook, and I will be Hook on Thursday" I love the mind of a three year old.

Today Caleb got to be the star student at school. It was a very exciting day for him! He got to wear a special sticker all day and was the leader all day in class. He held the flag for the pledge, he was the line leader, and he got to be first at everything today. He was very proud of himself! He is really loving school this year! I have a hard time getting him to leave when I get there at 1:00. His teacher said he is doing great and always has great days! I am so proud of him!!

Well, life around here has been crazy! Eric found out today he has a bulging disc in his back! Well, no offense but men don't take pain very well. The doctor told him he could not lift the kids for a week . . . WHAT . . . a WEEK?????? I know . . . I said the same thing! Let's all pray together that this heals faster than expected!

Parker

So many of you have asked how Parker did yesterday when Caleb went off to school. Well, he was so sad!!! It broke my heart! He cried until we got back home! It was like he was trying to let me know we left his big brother. When we picked Caleb up that afternoon he ran to him and gave him the biggest hug!! It was so sweet! So today was day two and he did the same thing. I have kept us busy during the time Caleb is gone so he has not had to play by himself much. When I say "let's go get Caleb" he gets so excited!! I know they won't always do this well together but I am telling you they are best friends. Parker has started talking more and actually answering you when you ask him if he wants something, it is just so fun with these two!
We took them to the aquarium on Monday and they loved it!! Parker got just as excited as Caleb did! Everytime we went in an exhibit he would yell "WOW, WOW!" Memories, they are so special! I hope they always LOVE each other this much!!

My Little Chefs

Ok so I know these pictures are all pretty much the same but I could not decide which was the cutest so I put them all!! So the boys really love going to eat Japanese, I may have mentioned that before well, here they are cooking away with every kind of pretend food you can imagine!! SO CUTE!!! I wish you could see them in action, Parker does everything exactly like Caleb does, and repeats everything he says!! They love it when they are done cooking to walk away and you cheer for them and they say "thank you, have a nice day" it is hilarious! Anyway, I just had to share these cute pictures!! WOW they are growing up so fast!
