Monkey See Monkey Do

Well, let me begin by saying as you can tell by the pictures Parker does everything to be like Caleb. Caleb had on boots today and Parker went over and got his and came and sat in front of me with them waiting for me to put them on him. That explains the cute boots with the PJ look they are sporting in the photo. As for the other, I could not help myself, I had to give you a glimpse into my days. Parker, is the worst eater in the world! But has an obsession with Golden oreos and marshmellows (he gets his sweet tooth from his mommy)! So he goes to the pantry mulitple times throughout the day and opens the door and stands there BEGGING none stop for his two favorites, he prefers the oreos but will settle for the marshmellows if that is all I will offer. Not that either of them are healthy snacks but he does not seem to be one for healthy! If I don't give him a treat of his choice which he stands there and says s-n-c (snack) over and over, he breaks out that Kenyon temper and lets you know how he feels about it! He is still so cute though!!! Can you blame him though, he knows a good thing when he has it!!

Easter

We had a great Easter at our house! Here are a few pictures of the boys! The better pictures are all on my moms Camera but I still wanted to share a few!!

Sorry I have not posted in a while we are trying to get everything settled for this move!! One month from today!! YEAH!! I will keep you all posted!

Oh, and one last thing for all of you who are wondering, my brother Stephen and his wife had their new baby Carter this morning! We are so excited!! I know a lot of you have been praying for them given they were told there was a chance the baby could have Downs syndrome, well based on just the physical apprearance things seem normal but the doctors are going to run some test so that we know 100%! Thank you all for your prayers on this one, I will keep you posted on what we find out! God is so good, we thank him for this precious baby!!

IT'S OFFICIAL!!!

It has been a little bit since I have blogged! For those of you wondering what is new at The Kenyon's well . . . we went under contract yesterday on a new home and will be closing and moving April 24th!! We are so excited! The Lord has really worked every detail out for us on this one and it all really seems to good to be true. The opportunity to sell our home and move into this subdivision not too far from here (which we have wanted to be in for so long) really just fell in our laps. The boys are both really excited and of course Caleb has already decided which room will be his and he decided for Parker which room he will get. He is also very excited because they will share a Jack and Jill bathroom so their rooms will now be connected (that could be trouble). I will download a picture soon for all of you to see. Anyone with spare time (or boxes) feel free to come on over I have not figured out yet how in the next six weeks I am going to find the time to pack this house and take care of two busy boys! :)
Potty training is still going great! We are still accident free! Even when we go out to eat he tells me when he has to go and we seem to make it to the potty everytime. He has done great at school and church coming out dry everytime. I am so proud of him!! I sure did not give him the credit he deserved before he did this. I feel so lucky that I have yet to pack up a pair of wet or messy clothes while in public or at someones house. It may be yet to come and that will be ok.
We are all hoping to stay well around here, this Georgia weather is CRAZY!! Friday it was in the 70's and we woke up Saturday morning to snow! Unbelievable!!! We are all going to be sick as dogs if this keeps up. We never know how to dress anymore. All I can say is I AM READY FOR SPRING!!!! At least while I spring clean I can pack boxes!

We Made IT!!!!!

Well, I think I can say I have one potty trained!!! YEAH!!!! Thanks MOM for your help! Caleb lived in his PJ's this week as we potty trained so that his pants would be easy to get up and down. Not sure how we will do things with a belt considering all his pants require a belt because he has the smallest waist for his age. I guess that is just another thing I need to teach him, how to get his belt undone, pants down, sit on the potty, point his pee pee down all the while holding his tee tee so he does not have an accident. We have only had one accident all week, and I thought he was not ready . . . .
I can say I get a little scared when I leave the house. He is not one that wants to try just to make sure before we leave so I keep a cup in my car just in case. Not sure what I will do if I am driving and he says he has to go, hopefully he will just hold it. The joys of parenting!!!
Parker has been the trouper through it all!! Now when he hears Caleb say "gotta go, gotta go" he takes off to the bathroom like he is the one who has to go and sits there and waits to see if Caleb goes! He is cheering his brother on to victory!
Eric made it back from his LONG trip! Must have been the longest week ever for both of us for different reasons. For him because he was in training all week going none stop from morning till night and for me because I had no husband to walk through the door in the evenings around 6 to get excited about and to tell me I was doing a good job through all the frustrating moments! I managed to keep myself busy (of course not counting how busy I am all day with two children and one learning to go potty and one learning to walk) but a friend came over and cooked me the MOST fattening dinner Tuesday night after mom left and then I had another friend over Wed. night and another over Thursday night!! I love my friends!! Plus Eric's parents came over and helped out with the kids so I could get a couple things done around here so with all that, we made it through the week! I am just glad to have my husband back and the boys were glad to get some MUCH needed daddy time!!! I became chopped liver to them once he was home, which was okay, I did not take it personally! Even little Parker really wanted his daddy!!!
